So you have decided on a trip to Portugal and now you want to check out some accommodations. There are only around 2.4 thousand hotels, thousands of airbnbs (more than hotels) and hundreds of hostels in Portugal. Are you going to check out every location, photo and price? Probably not, you are likely going to book one that seems good, so you will be settling instead of getting the best for your money.

Imagine repeating this process for airfare, restaurants, tours, museums and everything that's involved with your trips planning. Might as well get a Masters on Portuguese tourism. Doing all this planning would require lots and lots of your own personal time, is it worth it to save a few bucks? 

In my opinion? No! 

Make life easier and hire local and experienced travel consultants that will pull out all the stops to make your trip memorable. Rely on local expertise to truly live the places you are visiting, soaking up all the culture, eating the traditional food and getting that golden ticket for the legendary hidden gems, best airfare, best accommodations, best tours, etc.

The bottom line is, travel consultants know more than you and they are better connected, they have access to things that you don't and can probably beat any prices you find. Having a good travel consultant can make you an instant VIP, saving you time, money and the planning hassle.
